Research / Scent synthesis
Research pillar 06
A machine-readable language of smell.
The long-horizon pillar: if smell fingerprints become reliable, the next question is representation — odor maps and molecular models that let machines compare, communicate, and eventually reproduce chemical signatures.
What we research
Odor representation, molecular embeddings, and the mapping between sensor space and chemical space — the work that turns a fingerprint from something a machine can recognize into something it can reason about and reproduce.
Technical terms: molecular embeddings, odor maps, mixture modeling, scent synthesis.

Where this pillar standsResearch direction
This is a frontier direction — no experimental claims yet. It depends on the earlier rungs of the ladder (reliable fingerprints, then tracing and prediction) being earned first.
- →Smell fingerprints — the prerequisite this builds on.
